I was reading the window stickers on a new Nissan 350Z that a dealer has in the local mall, which included a 4 item, dealer installed, "Protection Package" for a mere $995.00. It included pin-stripes, door guards, paint sealant, and window glaze. It`s obvious to me that the additional protection offered by the pin-stripes alone, make the package worth every penny; but I don`t remember seeing "window glaze" before.

Can anyone offer an opinion as to what dealer installed Window Glaze might be?:nixweiss

I agree, that is the dealers way of ripping you off.

Pinstripes don`t really protect the paint do they... (I read that bit of sarcasm in your post.)

Paint sealant is simply Polymer, I say do it yourself. It will cost you about $16 for the bottle, use it 5 times or so.

Window Glaze? I agree with Intel, probably RainX, but it could be Diamondite. Get the kit for $25 and you should get 2 or 3 cars out of it.

Door guards, hmmm. I think they look sh*tty, don`t get them.

SO --- $995 or $40 and some labor....
