Just surfing the web and came acrossed this information. Did Black & Decker buy Porter Cable? If so I wonder what it will do to the quality of the tool.:dunno

^^ Lots of info there. I don`t think PC will lose quality, but prices may go up. If they liquidate the PC I`m just gonna pick a few up :D

I know that Black & Decker and Dewalt but never heard of B&D and PC.

Yes, Black and Decker has agreed to purchase Porter Cable and a number of other brands from Pentair. B&D already owns DeWalt. I don`t see any reason to panic regarding PC at this time.

My thoughts would be that they will be the same as they already are since they have a great reputation. Just because its turned over to B&D doesnt mean it is going to take the quality. Being a carpenter, I know that B&D makes some quality tools (not talking about Dewalt).
