I have used zaino for about 2 years on my black trans am. I am going to try some carnauba as I am not totally satisfied with the results the zaino is giving me on black. I have a few questions though. The paint is in very good condition, I only need to use some smr in a couple places. So do I need to do anything to remove the zaino that is on there? Also, I picked up a bottle of s100 sec and a jar of the s100 wax, should I use anything in between? I did a couple searches and some use a glaze like meguiars no 7 or another brand of glaze, but others said the s100 sec is like a glaze and just put the s100 wax over it. Which would be a better?

1: smr,s100 sec, meguiars no. 7, s100 wax

or

2: smr, s100 sec, s100 wax

Use a paint cleaner to remove the Zaino.

I prefer to use the comdination of a polymer (eg AIO which has a cleaner) and the then wax. It looks better and is more durable.

SEC/ GEPC has an ultra minor abrasive in it (much much less than DACP, SMR, or even the gentle #9), whereas #7 has none, and is a pure glaze.

So, you COULD use SMR, then SEC/GEPC, then #7, then s100 wax. Seems like overkill though.

You`ll be very pleased with SMR, then SEC/GEPC, and s100 wax.

But I won`t be pleased unless you post pics! :up

before you go through the whole process why don`t you try putting the S100 over the Z and see what you think, should only take you a few minutes. Then later go through the whole process. For me the SEC/#7/S100 is a great combo.

I just bought #7 tonight. Plan to try the SEPC/#7/S100 combo this weekend.

I know im going to give #7 a whirl on my next outing on the black truck.

However, the next victim is my 2002 Sonic Blue SVT Focus.

Another el stripo of the zaino and im going with SMR, PPCL, #7 and Souveran :bigups
