How often should Z1 and Z2 be applied to your car? I live in B.C. so it rains quite a bit, but I don`t drive my car as much as most daily drivers (about 5000km a year)

Thanks

Theorethicly(sp???) Z1 should be used the very first time and after every 10 coats of Z(2or5).

Z2(or 5) lasts on MY car (Belgium, 200+ rainy days a year:sosad ) at least 6 months (daily driver).

You will see when Z is worn off mainly in the way water beads on your car.

So you only wax your car once every 6 months?

No. One can apply more often than every 6 months. Zaino is something that benefits from layering. Doing it corretly, the more coats layering on top of each other, the better your paint would look.

I have done a search and have been reading up on how to apply zaino with ZFX but im a little confused on a few things.

It says not to apply more than 3 coats of Z in one day using ZFX. Does this mean I cannot do 3 coats of Z5 w/ZFX followed by 3 coats of Z2 w/ZFX in one day? My plan is this:

Dawn wash

claybar

Z7 wash

3 coats of Z5 w/ZFX to get rid of some minor swirls

3 coats of Z2 w/ZFX

Does this sound right or is something wrong there? Do you need to use Z6 after each coat of Z5 and Z2?

All these Z`s and numbers are confusing :nixweiss

Thanks

No, no more than 3 coats in a day:

Day 1 you put on 3 coats Z5-ZFX

Day 2 you put on 3 coats of Z2-ZFX

? Do you need to use Z6 after each coat of Z5 and Z2?

You don`t need to , but if you do it takes away (if there should be)unbuffed Z, + it makes the next application more easy, you can put on a thinner coat and it improves the shine.

The numbers:

I`m sure you checked www.zainobros.com?

Ok sounds a lot more clearer now, thanks :up

Could I use Meguiars step 1 paint cleaner after the clay bar step to clean the paint better or would that affect anything?

after the clay and the wash the paint should be clean.

I haven`t used Megs step 1 cleaner, but as far as i know the Z-system I think it wouldn`t do any harm as long as your last step prior to Z is the Z wash.

Hope this helps
