I went to the local dealer and after browsing their other S100 and other products, and not finding S100 wax, I asked about the situation. The guy there said that they didn`t have any and wouldn`t be getting any because people found it too hard to work with. He said that he`d order it for me if it didn`t come in a case of 12. He said they had trouble selling it and ended up giving it away!!! ARGH! How lazy/iliterate are people that they can`t use a little muscle and read the directions a little bit? :nixweiss oh well. I did notice that they had Gloss Enhancing Polish or whatever it is called and am debating if I should get it.

So now I have a choice to make...should I wait it out and get the S100 at a Harley dealer when I go visit my sister in college in a few week, order it from CMA, or just flop and get Meguiar`s no. 26 hi-tech yellow paste wax? Also, for those that did get it at harley dealers, how much ($) did it cost compared to CMA prices (~$20 shipped)?

Thanks, Kevin.

S100 for me is 14.95 a pop... I worked out a deal with the guy and if i buy a case of 12 i can get them for 12 a piece; last time i checked.

I have used alot of wax...and i dunno why but i like #26....its pretty durable and I like the way it looks under S100.

Just my 2 wax coats.

Hope that Helps,

Erick

Hmm, I wonder if I could sell 11 jars of S100...nah, I think I`ll just wait till I see my sis if this is what I decide to get. How did you like the look of #26 alone compared to S100? I might just get it since it is cheaper and realistically, I probably won`t notice a difference.

One thing I did read was that #26 was soft and S100 was hard right out of the container. hmm...

Thanks for your 2 coats of wax. (LOL)

A few ops here say #26 attracts more dust/pollen than S100. S100 is really really easy to apply. The first time you do it you`ll probably put too much on, though. After that...like butter:)

hmm, now I seem to remember reading about how S100 attracts less dust/pollen/dirt and even seems to hold less of the dirt in the rain. I always fear rain, since my car is always parked outside, so I might just hold off and get some S100 in a few weeks.

Thanks,

Kevin

"Order it from CMA"

Who is CMA?

CMA is Classic Motoring Accessories.

www.properautocare.com

They sell basically everything you need to detail your car.

I second that it is easy to apply.

It was my first car wash yesterday after I applied S100, it`s still there :) I do noticed that it attracts dust as much as Zaino.

/rant

i have a 3 acre lot FULL of trees that are ALL pollen freaks. These trees pump out more pollen than any other tree in texas and its just to piss me off

/end rant

That said with liquid #26 i do not notice a significant increase in dust attraction compared with S100. BUT with the paste version of #26 it does attract much more dust... I dont know why it may be some of the extra stuff they put in the liquid...

Testing was as follows: Duration was 1 week no washing or QD`ing results were taken at end of the week vehicle was not driven.

Hood was divided into thirds

Hood was equally prepared by claying, DACP, 1 application AIO, 2 applications SG, then each third got one coat of each S100-#26L-#26P

Neither the S100 nor the liquid #26 attracted more dust than the car just sitting there normally would, but on the #26 paste side it did. Even my girlfriend noticed it.

I hope to get some Paste Glaz and repeat the test some day. I dont like dividing my hood though...it looks funny in the sun ;)

Hope that Helps,

Erick

Hmm, near Superior. I went to the dealer in Duluth, MN, though. My mom brings her bike to the Rice Lake (WI) shop and my sister goes to college in Eau Claire...both might have the S100 I`m looking for.

I live in NW Wisconsin, where are you?

One tip on finding the s100, try ALL the local motorcycle shops nearby. I had only 2 Harley shops where I live and both were out of stock. After driving about 30 miles looking, I came back home and called the Suzuki shop 2 blocks (!) from my house and lo and behold they had it in stock.

You can order S100 from www.harley-davidson.com and pick it up at your local HD shop. No shipping charges should apply. Worked for me for S100 wax and S100 Shine Enhancing Cleanser.
