I have a question. I ran out into my garage to put my AIO/SG on my car, put on the first coat, then realized that I had put the SG on first! SO I buffed it off and stopped. Can I layer the AIO over the SG, or do I need to strip it off and start over? You think I would have noticed the silver bottle, but NO! Help!:grrr But hey, it is shiny!!!

AIO will strip the SG for you. AIO is basicly just a paint cleaner anyway. You can`t layer AIO on top of anything. Its just going to remove whatever is under it. Its not really a necessary step either. If your paint is clean and ready then you can just go on with the SG.

How did you apply the SG out of curiosity? Did you do it with a machine or by hand?

I did it by hand using jimwh`s instructions (minus using the wrong stuff first!) My paint was washed, clayed, and clean. However, I thought that AIO was just part of the process of using SG. So, I could just skip the AIO this time around and layer the SG and S100 topper?

You only need AIO if your paint needs cleaning. Its not necessary to have it on before SG. The only reason I asked how you applied SG is because the way you apply them is very different. I was just curious if you tried to apply it like you would AIO. That would have been interesting. lol

If the paint had just been clayed then you don`t really need AIO. If you want to put it on now then it will remove the SG and then you can put the SG on again. Its up to you. If you didn`t have any problem with the SG to begin with then you are fine.

You can apply AIO (it is a wipe on wipe off process anyways) and then do the sg (I would do that if you would like the reassurance of a clean surface. In the overall sceme, you would be applying several layers anyway I presume?

Thanks guys! I will continue layering my SG today then, and follow it up with S100. Should look great, since the results that I am getting already look great. One last inquiry though... I thought that the AIO had sealants in it as well as being a cleaner/polish? Can you use just AIO and not SG? I am not going to try it today, but I was just curious...

Wait a second...Lemme get this straight. AIO does not provide protection. It`s just surface prep, correct? So if I want to put "Klasse" on my paint and wheels, then I get SG, not AIO, right?

From the CMA web-site:

"I’ve seen people at concours events cover the labels on this product so no one would know what they were using!

Klasse All-In-One polishes away oxidation and leaves a deep acrylic shine that can last for 6 months or more. All-In-One is not a wax, silicone or polymer but an acrylic formula. It really is different. All-In-One bonds to the surface like a regular car wax but doesn’t penetrate or change the paint in any way. It matches the depth and clarity of a high quality carnauba wax but lasts much longer. Two applications a year (maybe just one) will keep your car looking great."

Certainly sounds like a protectant. You can get the same info from several different sites, this one was easy to find.

Also, I use it on my wheels with good results.

Yeah, I normally put the SG after the AIO. wait about an hour and take it off and put another coat. wait another hour and top it off with my Blitz wax. Love the results.

I think AIO is a very imprtant step that shold not be skipped. AIO actually darkens my black paint--noticeably. If I do one half AIO and one half s100. the AIO is actually darked. SG alone does not do this. Maybe it does not matter to you guys with white cars, but it makes a difference on dark cars.

I agree. It makes a difference. I just had a case of rain fade in my brain at the time...
