Will polish cut through SG?

Guys,

I just ordered a PC and will be re-doing my auto soon, my question is. Will a polish such as meg #7 or #3 cut through SG topped with P21S? Or do I have to do some sort of wax removal(like dawn or aio) first?



BTW, its nice to know that there are other nuts like myself out there.

For the record, #7 Show Car Glaze is a glaze, not polish. Ive never used Klasse before.

Sorry, I meant to say #9 Swirl Remover.

I wouldn`t think that much of anything is going to survive a swirl remover. You might want to use something like AIO to get it off rather than #9 though.

dmarcus48-What Jngrbrdman said :up . Unless you have some swirls to deal with, you can just use AIO. But yes, if you ARE doing swirl removal, SMR`s/polishes like #3 and #9 WILL cut right through the SG/P21S combo. BTW, the #7 glaze will too, due to solvent action.

Just wanted to thanks everyone for their replies. I`ve been an anal clean car nut for many years, but have never used products like Klasse or P21S before, or a PC. Since finding this site I`m going nuts with all the possibilities! I`ve done the aio, sg, P21s treatment on my car, but now I want to get rid of a few minor light scratches and build up the layers of sg before apply the p21s.
