Can you use Vanilla Moose over SMR??

Or is that considered over kill?? I have light scratches on my hood and I was going to go SMR, VM, Final Polish, then s100 maybe. I dont see what al the s100 fuss is about I dont think it is that great so not sure what route I am going to take. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

I use SMR then VMW. I like it because it has so many filler oils that it makes the paint nice and smooth and smell nice as well.
