Here are a couple of pics of 3 layers of Poorboy`s EX sealant topped with Souveran wax on jet black. :D

The EX added the "Pop and Gling" I was missing! The Souveran topper adds that extra depth and richness that I have grown to love. I use the Crystal Mist QD to keep the richness between waxings.

Getting ready for Bimmerfest, I see...

Amp - Amazing as usual... Do you actually *drive* the car?! Wish the weather here would cooperate for me...

You are indeed an artist. :bow

Mmmmm.

Compared to your previous PUPP only pics, which looked like a bright mirror, this looks like a deep pool of black liquid oil. Seems like I could just take a header right into the hood in that second pic.

Tell me, of all your previous combinations like PUPP alone, PUPP topped by S100, S100 topped by Souveran, Souveran topped by S100, EX alone, and now EX topped by Souveran (are there other combos that I missed?), which is your favourite? Do you have any other colour car that you have likewise experimented with?

AWESOME work!:bow :bow :bow

LowTech,

I do DRIVE my 7! :D :D As a matter of fact, out of all the cars I have owned, this so far, is my favorite to drive. I changed the suspension and wheels/tires and that made a world of difference. I am now thinking about changing the rear diff. to some quicker gears.

iceman,

Out of all the combo`s that I have used on this car, (you missed a couple like AIO topped with P21S for my palm tree reflection and, get this, wax alone after a good polish), for my jet black paint, I like the EX topped with Souveran the best! For a lighter car, I like PUPP alone or topped by P21S or Pinnacle Paste Glaze the best. It all depends on what you have to work with.

Nice!!!

But it should be noted that these Souveran pics are taken during sunset (see reflection) as compared to the PUPP pics that are taken during bright sunlight...

But regardless... It`s a car that I REALLY love, a color to die for, and paint condition to dream about... :) :)

blkZ28Conv,

Yes, I love the EX with a Souveran topper combo! :D The EX just gave that missing `pop`. After topping with Souveran and seeing the results, I didn`t feel that I needed to use the P21S.

X-MAN,

Re: Gearing, I am thinking about 3.15 or 3.45. Dinan makes the 3.15 that is expensive. I also have been looking at VAC Motorsports for their 3.45. I will let you know as I have this done.

no1000,

The tires I have on my 7 are Michelin Pilot A/S (235/50/18 fronts & 255/45/18 rears). The dressing I am using is Poorboy`s Bold `n Bright and I love it! It cleans and dresses at the same time. I applied BnB with a foam tire applicator from Eagle.

The 3:45`s are probably the way to go. I thought about 3:55`s but went with the 3:27`s. I had 3:73`s in my old Cobra & they were too low for me. They took all of my first away.

The 18`s look really good! I wish they made 95` R`s in 18`s.

BTW....what`s that "poorboys" site again? I`d like to try some of that BnB.
