Is there anyway to stop or cut down the dust attraction caused by waxes?

What kind of wax are you using?
I use S100 and #20 and neither attracts any dust:)
Have you triedthe California Car Duster? I find it to be very handy when used correctly.

I am no expert, but I think the dust problem is caused more by static than wax. Maybe a very light mist of QD with gentle wiping may help.

2days ago i applied S100 first time. and today I noticed it attracted dust already. Can I QD (z6)? but I heard it`ll remove S100..any suggestion?

I have the same problem with S100 and I think #26 (havent used it in awhile). Used #34 FI and same problem.

There are many factors that contribute to dust collection. Blitz is known to attract dust more than most other carnuba products. You might want to try using a synthetic sealant as any product which contains an oil for shine (carnuba based) typically will attract more dust, especially on hot days.

sometimes i wish there was a way to somehow hook up the car battery or some other electrical source to the body and flip a switch and just zap off all the static-cling dust..

Dust happens. :D I mean, you can`t really avoid it. If you look at some of the older posts back when Blitz and Souveran were the big dogs on the board you will see that it was an issue with both of them. I usually get less dust with Souveran than with Blitz and I get less with P21S than I do with Souveran. It just depends on where you are at and how long the wax has a chance to just sit there and let the oils evaporate before they go out into the world. Pretty much any product is going to be a dust magnet for awhile after you put it on. It needs a little time to dry or cure or whatever it does to not be such a beast for dust. I try to just park the car back in the garage for a couple hours before I take it out if I just waxed it. I`ve got a white car though, so I probably don`t see the dust nearly as quickly as someone with a dark car. Its just something you have to manage and deal with. Dust happens.
