What is the condition of the Volvo? How has the car been treated previous to this? What is your shine goal? Do you want remove or cover scratches and swirls?

The paint has alot of swirls and light scratches. I clayed the paint so it is smooth. If possible with the 7424 i would like to remove the swirls, if not i guess i`ll have to cover them up till i can get the 7428. If it helps I am going to use Menzerna intensive and Blackfire, and sourevan. in my process. I`m looking for a bright wet shine.

CAPEFEAR- The generally non-abrasive nature of the #7 and the IHG means you`ll want to use something else to REMOVE your swirls (the IHG will help cover them, however). Something abrasive like Megs #9, DACP, etc. (I`m not familiar with the Manzerna line).

BTW, be careful what you get on Volvo`s black/dark gray trim (if you have it). I wouldn`t worry about the BF or the Souveran (in fact I`d apply them to it), but some products, including many polishes can cause the "white staining" that is a real pain to get off.

Unless they`re hoplessly bad swirls/scratches, as I understand it, the PC with the right combo of pads and product should be able to fix it without you having to resort to a rotary.

As prep job, it was all Menzerna (Fast Cut, Intensive Polish and Final Pollish). Then in diferent areas Menzerma Wax, Klasse AIO, toped with UPP and/or P21S and liquid Souveran.

But it was the prep that mostly did it
