New black truck

I just bought a 2001 Toyota 4Runner it`s black and it looks sweet! I want to keep it looking good. it has some slight swirl marks but other than that the paint is in great. This is my first black vehicle and I want to do it right.



I have a PC and I have Griot`s orange and yellow pads. I do not like Griot`s polish and wax though. Should I stay with wax or use a Klasse type product. All input is welcomed.

Neither wax or Klasse will get rid of your swirls. You`ll need something else to do that. Check out the eBook. There is a whole section on PC use and how to get rid of swirls. There are also a few pretty comprehensive threads on that subject kicking around here. :xyxthumbs

That book is great. Griot`s also has one free for download, but they only mention their products.



I`ve got zaino waiting, but I like spending time with my car so I`m keeping carnuba for a while. When it gets too hot out, then I`ll go Zaino and try that for a year.
