I just wanted to get the forums views of what type of app forum members are using for applying dressings (ie. Vinyl, Leather, etc).

Which do you like better??? Foam or Terry???

What do you do with the app after you use it?? Keep it with the particular bottle???

TIA

For tires and interior dressing I like the foam kitchen sponges,

I keep the sponge & the product together

since they are cheep I toss them frequently.

I have no leather , nor do I have vinyl.

I use the Meg`s foam applicators. I wash them just like everything else, but I label the back of them so I only use them for that. I have foams for leather conditioner and vinyl/rubber. I don`t use them on tires as I have Meg`s tire swipes for that. If I did exterior plastic trim, I`d probably just use a terry cloth towel, but I never really thought about it.

Interior leather and vinyl- seude-like MF. Wash with other MF`s

Tires - tire swaps . Different swap for each product ( Poorboy`s, 303, Super Shine, etc)

Fender wells - old tire swaps

Textured exterior plastic trim - seude-like MF

Rubber seals - seude-like MF

Engine compartment - old cotton T-shirt rags - throw away after each use.

Waxes = Foam Applicators

Glazes = Foam Applicators

Leather Cleaner/Conditioner = Terry Applicators

Interior Vinyl/Plastic Trim = Suede Microfiber Towel

Exterior Plastics = Quality Microfiber

Wheel Wells/Tires = Viking Cotton Cloths

Engine Compartment = Viking Cotton Cloths or NicSand Microfiber

Weatherstripping = Bare Hands For Application, NicSand For Removal

Hmmm....did I leave anything out? :cool:

Foam, dishwashing pads (for non stick pans), cheap and effective.

I use terry applicators for applying anything on the interior, it just spreads better, especially on leather.

Eagle 1 Tire Swipes are excellent! Curved foam with a handle to keep your hands clean.

I use Eagle One Tire Swipes for most all exterior protectant application.

I`ll use a small sponge to treat trim pieces and weatherstripping. Sponges are great for interior work too.

Any place grubby I use whatever is handy, usually a paper shop towel or similar.

For leather cleaning I use a terry towel. I use a small terry applicator to apply leather conditioner.

I agree the target applicator works great especially on suv tires. Anyone tried to replace the sponge when it wears out? I havent run across any good replacements yet.
