Down in Australia, we don`t get many of the US products discussed on this site, but I`ve been importing Zaino, and stuff from CMA for the past couple of years. I`ve just switched from Zaino to Blackfire based on some of the comments here, and I`m pretty happy so far.

My 550 Maranello is dark blue (Pozzi), 5 yrs old, I`ve had it about 9 months. It`s been clayed with Z18, polished and sealed with BF. Previously, it had the full Zaino stuff. Going to put some S100 over the BF in the next few wks.

Here are some pics, and thanks to all the experts that hang out here, it`s the one of the most useful sites on the net for car nuts! Click on thumbnail for a bigger pic.

Nice job on the Maranello! :xyxthumbs That is one beautiful car.

I have been using AIO topped with P21S with great success. Recently I got some Souveran just to see what all the fuss was about. Here is a picture of Souveran on my jet black 740iL. The car was clean so I QD`d with Crystal Mist and applied 1 coat of Souveran. The paint looked very, very wet.

If you get a chance, try some Souveran on top of Blackfire. I think you will like the results.

Also, please post some pics of the entire car if you get a chance.

Cheers,

Thanks AMP99, I`d like to try QD. I don`t like the BF deep gloss spray very much. I found the Z6 better, but a lot of you use QD, so it`s on my shopping list.

You jerk.

You tell us about your 550 Maranello (which looks incredible, btw), and you don`t post any full car pics. That`s like getting stripteased by... lol, well, for me, Avril Lavigne or Michelle Branch or someone like that (I`m 18, if you`re wondering). :o

Just playing with you, man :D ... looks really, really, really good. I also think you should try topping with Souveran. Or maybe P21S. Not that it could get much better than that, but hey, go for it!

Beautiful car, and excellent job! :xyxthumbs

Hey Polaris - I thought I`d get flamed for posting large images. Did U click on any of the thumbnails? They`re 500x500. THanks for the feedback anyhow :)

Beautiful car!!!! :bow

It looks like a formidable opponent for my PT Cruiser....:D

Anyhow, great job! I`d also suggest topping BF with something. My personal favorite carnauba is s100(a.k.a. P21s), because of the price, and because it shines more beautifully than anything I`ve ever used. It would be a great complement.

I currently use Zaino, more for its protection, really , than for its look.

Great job, really!:xyxthumbs

Oh, well, my bad. I didn`t click on them. That`s what seeing a car like that does to you.

syd,

QD = Quick Detailer, QD is not a product but an acronym. Here is a list of all the Autopia Acronyms (http://www.autopia.org/acronyms.php) we use regularly at Autopia.

Crystal Mist is the Quick Detailer Spray that I use on top of a carnauba wax. On top of a Carnauba wax, Crystal Mist leaves the paint very wet, dark and deep looking.

I have had good success with Platinum Ultimate Gloss Enhancer (http://www.premiumautocare.com/platulglosen.html) for sealants and I hear that ClearKote`s Quick Shine (http://www.clearkote.net/products.htm) works well on a sealant and/or on top of a carnauba wax.

I hope this helps! P.S. again, please post some pics of the "whole car" next time. :xyxthumbs

Cheers,

pppftt 550 Maranello. Theres no way it could beat my camry over 400 meters. And then I wake up.:p

Just joking man, always nice to see a fellow Australian on Autopia.

And fantastic car with a fantastic shine. Hope you are coming for the F1 GP in Melbourne this weekend. Seeing how you drive a Ferrari and all.

Hey Myles, where abouts are you in Melb? We should organise a polish-day and compare war stories.
