You know the 100% cotton Viking chenille mitts? How do you guys wash those?

Machine, hand, just a free rinse... what?

Machine wash, toss in the dryer. Mine last about 8 weeks since I use them constantly.

Where do you find the 100% cotton Viking wash mitts? I have been looking all over town and on the internet without any luck. I can find TW chenille mitts but these aren`t 100% cotton.

If unable to find one or two shortly as spring is just around the corner what MF mitt is good to use?

I wouldn`t recommend machine washing these mitts.....they tend to fall apart and make a mess!

I hand wash mine with water after each wash. Every 4-6 months, I replace my mitt with a new one and use the old one for the wheels only. You would be surpised how clean your mitt stays if you backflush it and rinse well after every wash..........

Yeah... I`m asking because when I machine washed mine, there was cotton crap all strewn about in the washing machine. Mitt`s still okay, but that`s what happened.

I machine wash and then air dry. Works pretty well.

Try a delicates bag for the washing machine . . . it`ll cut down on the abuse that the mitts take in the washer.

How are the chenille mits and pads Pep Boys sell? I think turtle wax has a few, and I think some other company, California???

The Chenille mitt that I described in my previous message was bought at Walmart and was called "Detailer`s Choice" and I`ve been very pleased with it. I don`t beleive it is 100% cotton though, just from reading some of the past posts about items that all supposedly labeled "100% cotton". But again, it does work well for me and is readily available whenever I want to replace it.

Have a great weekend everyone...................V

Vikings mitts bought from KMart. Machine washed in a delicates bag and dried with no problem. However, mine aren`t used more often than every 2 weeks only.
