Do you use GEPC/SEPC on new car finishes before applying P21S/S100?

NHBFAN,

GEPC/SEPC on a new car finish would be a great idea. It is a mild polish that will enhance the shine and gloss of the paint before applying the P21S/S100 wax.

2 different things

sepc/gepc is a polish/glaze, #26 is a wax.

No...only if you need to. You should only polish your car if the paintwork requires work. If you regularly wax the car then you may need to polish the car only 2-3 times a year, depending upon conditions you drive in.

Wax is a protective layer you put over perfect paintwork. If you are careful with your car and don`t introduce swirl marks from washing etc, then all you need to do is regularly wax the car.

FWIW I wax every 4 weeks, but polish once every 10-12.

You could use GEPC more regularly, since its very gentle.

I would recommend a light polishing as others have said on this thread to even a new car. I think it evens out the finish and provides a nice polished base for the wax.

Here is Yaz`s 2001 Mustang after a Pinnacle PCL session with the PC and a coat of Souveran done about 5 weeks ago. I saw the car last weekend and it is holding up very well. the surface is slick after a QD with OG Show Off.
