just went through a search for this vacuum, seems to work fine, http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13526&highlight=shark+vacuum

will the 600W one be sufficient or should i opt for the 1000W one, 600W is $34.99cnd at Can Tire, and 1000W is $69.99, im thinking the 600 will be fine. I want a small cheap hand held vacuum, dont have a garage:bow yet:(

I have the 600W Shark. I found it to be underpowered. I`m sure there are those who will say I`m crazy, but that`s my opinion.

I bought the Black & Decker AC5050, which is very powerful and has "beater brush", upholstery attachment and crevice tool. Hard to beat for $29.95. (I don`t know the wattage)...

I literally sucks the dirt out of carpet and carpet floor mats.

ya the beater brush would come in handy, so it has a crevice tool attachment, a hose attactment as well? or does it just stick on the end of it?

There is a cover plate that snaps on over the suction end and has a 3-foot hose attached.

It comes with a mounting rack also for easy storage. Since you don`t have a garage, maybe the front hall closet?

This is by no means a pro unit, but it sure does the job. I purchased it at the "Black & Decker Store" at Lake of the Ozarks. I`m sure it is available on-line at many stores.

The SHARK is just a little wimpy. I use if for vacuuming out tiny areas that I can`t reach with the B&D.
