I`ve just put a coat of AIO and a coat of p21s on my car. I noticed that it hardly attracted any dust for almost a week. I since have washed my car and used zaino z6 as a qd. After using this i noticed much more dust. So my question is would a different qd attract less dust?

Thanks

also, I think that some waxes attract less dust.. S100 is one of them.. I had my Stang in the garage for weeks after Scottwax put a coat of S100 on it and it hardly would dust up at all..

Try One Grand Show Off QD. It`ll work well over P21S and not attract alot of dust. I use it over Souveran, on which it also looks great. Easy to use too.

I think if the product puts down a lot of oils on the paint, then it will probably attact more dust.

Try using something like Poorboy`s Quick Detailer. I`ve been using it after washes diluted down 50/50 and it doesn`t seem to attract anymore dust.

Thanks for the responses! I have some show off, i`ll try that. Has anyone else noticed that z6 attracts a lot of dust?

Klasse SG and Sonus seem to attract a ton of dust in my garage. I am going to try topping off with s100 after a bunch of coats of sg. Does S100 stain black trim? I have sworn to never use another wax that stains black trim.

S100 is great. I haven`t any problems with it at all as far as staining trim etc. Leaves no white residue whatsoever.

I noticed that when I Zaino`d my car without topping it off with Z6, it was covered in dust within minutes. Using Z6, it`s now covered in dust with in hours:nixweiss. So yeah Z6 does attract dust, I think the Zaino claim of "60% less dust pickup" is BS.

Intel486,

I seem to have decent results with Meguiars FI, yet, I have heard Poorboy (steve) saying that his spray&wipe would be a good qd (I think he was mentioning that you were having success with it). Is it good on both a carnauba topper or a sealant? Thanks.

EO Wipe`N`Shine works well too! :xyxthumbs

I have used it for years and never have a big dust problem.

Anyone tried Meguiars QD? Either Final Inspection or QuikDetailer... Dust magnet?
