Im real curious, as to what the majority of you folks are using to take your detailing pics with. What kind of camera ? Are you using digital, 35 mm SLR, 35 mm mini`s, disposables ? If not using digital, are you developing and getting it on a disc ? Are you scanning your pics and uploading to disc yourself ? Ive seen some beautiful pics as of late, and some striking engine detailing work......let me know what you prefer to use !!:wavey

mostly digital since it is easy to upload and instant. With things that arnt detailing or instantly needed i use my Minolta Maxxum 5 SLR 35mm camera. Great pgots. I get it developed normally and then scan them if needed. All my detailing pictures are digital though. with a Sony CyberShot. 3.3 megapixels

I am using a Canon G2 digital camera. You can use it like a full automatic point and shoot or you can use it like a full manual.

I have the Canon wide angle and telephoto add on lens adapters and a Canon 420EX external flash. If I had it to do all over again, I would still by the G2, (Or now the G3).

Cheers,

I`ve got a Nikon N60 35mm SLR. I get the pics developed at Wolf Camera and they scan the pics onto a disc. The quality is incredible. I`ve yet to see a digital camera that produces the same high image quality that a good 35mm camera does. However, I do want a digital camera so I can access the pics immediately.

The 7th of february I bought a Fuji Finepix S304(that`s Finepix3800 for the US)

I`m happy with it,

one minus: in low light it`s very hard to focus.

I have an old Pentax SLR camera and I just bought a HP psc 750 3 in 1 printer, scanner, copier. I will probably get a new SLR before finally getting a Digicam.

Now we know your secret for such beautiful pictures. I can never get the light and / or focus right with a digital. I was planning to try the SLR-to-disc method this spring. Now I know I will.

Thanks Scott.:bow

I have to agree with the 35 mm.....Much sharper images, better depth...I use to photograph on the side as a hobby, until my princess, (3 at the time) thought she would make an earthmover out of my telephoto......

I`m using a Canon A40 2.2 MP digital camera. It allows me to take video with sound and also has interchangable lenses that give me more options than your standard digital camera in its price range. I`d love to have a higher MP camera but until I find a reason to complain about the one I have, I guess I`ll keep it. :) No complaints yet. I`m pretty satisfied. Its one of the only things I`ve got where I know there are better versions out there and yet I`m satisfied with what I`ve got. lol I have this tendency to want the best and settle for nothing less. Maybe I`m getting older... Maturity could be just around the corner. THE HORROR!!!! :D

I use a Canon G2 with 4.0 megapixels. Pictures are awesome. Definitely highly recommended.

Eventually: Canon PowerShot G3

However, most of my pics taken were either with:
