For those people who use an extractor to clean carpets and floor mats, how do you secure the mats in place so you can clean them? I`m thinking about buying some alligator clips, like those used at self-serve car washes, and mounting them to the door of my trailer. I`m looking for alternate or better solutions from people who have tried several methods and have come up with works best for them.

HellrotCi- Check out Top-of-the-Line. They offer the clips that carwashes use, or at least they used to. And Irene and the other folks there are good people.

When extracting I pull all the mats out and clean them first since they are usually the dirtiest. I just put them on my tailgate and hold onto them with one hand. When I`m done I put them on the ground as I work on the interior. They are usually almost dry when I`m done extracting them so when I`m done the interior the mats are usually completely dry.
