2.5 hours by hand. Man, you must have been working you a$$ off! The last time I did one by hand, it took me close to 6 hours! But I got a PC now! :)

lol I washed, dried,Meg`s Scratch X (whole car), Meg`s Gold Class (whole car), Mothers Quick detail spray, wheels, and the car has been clayed like 3 weeks ago.

I wasnt to impressed with the Scratch X:( do u need to do it a couple more times:nixweiss or is there any better products that I could use like 3m SMR?

I have never tried Scratch-X, but I I thought it was meant for spot treatment.

3M SMR can be used by hand, but it`s hard work to break it down. A better product would be Meguiar`s #9. I think you`ll find that you can get good results by hand with that.

While you`re picking up that #9, you might want to get some #26 Yellow Wax, or S100. I think they`ll both last quite a bit longer than the Gold Class. Gold Class is pretty good from all the people I have talked to, but doesn`t last long.

I don`t think ScratchX is meant for use over the entire car either. It works really well for isolated scratches and paint swapping. Like if you rub against a painted pole or something. I`ve got some good picture in my gallery of what GS27 did for a car. GS27 is basicly the same thing as ScratchX anyway. Its good on small areas but not on the whole car for sure. That is what SMR and other products are for.

I figured since I never used a product to get rid of scratches that I just do the whole car. The Scratch X did say "spot treatment" and got a lot of them out but not all =\ Ill try some #9 and some S100 next :up
