Class action suit

Turtle wax, Blue Coral, Simonz were sued for marketing wax which did not contain any natural waxes, to car wash customers. The suit was settled in March 2001.

This is really a non-issue. The case has to do with the drive-through car washes that offer "hot wax" as an additional cost item. It has nothing to do with products sold at retail for consumer use.



As Autopians know, you`re not going to get any "real" wax out of a ~5 second spray application.



If nothing else, it shows that the automated car wash industry is guilty of poor choice of wording in their marketing

The car washes are also less than 100% honest in the presentation of the "wax" treatment. A friend of mine that uses them often says he knows it is putting wax on his car because he can smell it.

So I guess my leather conditioner, (that smells like leather), must be putting leather on my seats each time I use it.;) People want to believe all that crap works, so they don`t have to.
