I’m attaching some pictures I took from my first detail job – of course on my own car. I’m still learning, so be gentle with your comments, if any…hehehe.

The Car:

It’s a Black Ford Lynx. This model only exists here in the Asian Region. Its nine-months old and had its fair share of swirls marks.

Products used:

Washed with Meguiar’s Rich Suds

Clayed using Mother’s Clay Bar – used it while I was rinsing the car.

Cleaned using Deep Crystal Step 1 – hand applied

Glazed using #80 – used a PC with the white pad that came along the PC

Waxed using #26 – hand applied

I ordered from CMA the PC Kit to help me out in cutting down the time spent in detailing. All in all, it took me 2 half days and a sore body to complete my first details. I hope to learn more from you guys. With experience and valuable inputs from you, I hope to be as good as you.

Again, thank you.

Looks better than new! Very liquid and glossy!

Nice Ford, by the way. Do you like it? I find it amusing that when I travel outside the US I find really cool American cars they just don`t "allow" us to have here... :)

Ditto...love the gloss...Very well done!

As mentioned before, and IMHO, good prep makes all the difference (clay, polish, glaze).

For your first detail on a black car.......:xyxthumbs If you can do black vehicles well, the rest of the color spectrum falls into place.

The hardwork that was put into making the car look the way it looks now, just turned to pure pleasure and fun. I think i really am going to enjoy this.:)

BoxsterCharlie - yes i like the car, besides the fact that its the only car i have and can afford...lol. Yes, its kind of ironic that some car models just exist in some countries. Maybe if i hadn`t explain what the car was, someone would have ask what kind of car was it.

Again, thank you very much for your encouragements. I`m learning from the best.

Great work... :)

The Ford Lynx is essentially the same as the Mazda 323 sold in the US. Our Lynx here is manufactured locally by Ford and is the only car exported from the Phil. It`s a nice looking car... :)

Black is black... I want my babies black... :) Nice job bud... :)

BTW, did you get CMA to ship to Mla or you had it shipped to US then had someone bring it back?

Welcome again to Autopia... :)
