Just got my 911 Turbo and the fun has begun! I cleaned all the cosmolene off the engine this morning (what a pain). My car smells like a big orange now...
I used P21S GEPC this afternoon to clean the paint and am
preparing to Zaino tomorrow with Z2 w/ZFX. Do I need to
Dawn wash before I do this? I`ve always heard that Z needs
a perfectly clean (dawned) car to start with.
Earlier advice on this column was to use the GEPC and clay
if necessary (it`s not).
Interesting time at the dealer when picking the car up, I was
allowed to be with the car the entire time. Had them use my
wash mitt and my P21S soap. The detail guy used an air hose
and a new MF cloth to dry the car. He also used some sort of
quick detail spray. Very knowledgeable detail manager and
careful techs. The manager even gave me two MF towels once
he found out I was a detailing enthusiast.
