Dont mix window tint and the CHP !

Dear fellow Autopians.....They got me, me and my Dodge Cuad cab....My daughter didnt get the window down in time....Calif. Highway patrol gave me a fix it ticket for my tint...

Ive tried to search for a solution, found one, "Removing Window Tint -by Huy Vu", but it wouldnt access it for some reason...Im going to pm this gentleman and see if he can help, but if anyone has ideas on how to remove the tint, please reply !

Well, if you can`t find anything good then you can always pay for the instructions (http://www.textint.com/toppage1.htm#auto%20film%20removal) on how to do it. Just hit the Google search engine with some searches on Tint removal. You may want to be specific with Automotive window tint or something like that. I`m really suprised that it hasn`t been covered in Autopia before now... I guess there are topics out there that we haven`t covered fully yet. :nixweiss

I have an easier solution.... I have a few friends who had their eye doctors write them a medical pardon for having window tint, saying that their sensitive eyes need it in order to safely drive- that sunglasses weren`t enough..



They have limo tint all around the vehicle (includes front windshield) , and never get hassles. If a cop pulls them for it, they just show the note and are on their way. Might look into this.
