When I bought a wrecked MR2 to do my engine swap, I recieved a whole mess of other goodies, and one thing was a carbon fiber hood. There are stress cracks in it that I am trying to get out. I am not sure how deep they are, but I have been sanding down the clear/gel coat. I guess I will have to go all the way down to the fabric and then re-spray it. If I can get it to look decent, thats fine, if not, oh well. I just thought it would be a fun project and a good thing to throw on if I really start caring about weight reduction for 1/4 mile times (which I don`t really care about at all). So any suggestions? I attached some pics too:

Carbon Fibre, specialist work only I would have thought. From memory, since it has been years since I played with some, I don’t think it can easily repaired. Try some of the motorsports places to see what they say.

Just make sure you use a quality resin. If you can still see where the repairs were made when you finish, why not paint some graphics or a design that only has the paint covering the previously damaged bits?
