I have ordered a PC from Costal Tools, damn this is becoming expensive.
PC $109
Shipping $47
Import tax $55
Transformer 240v - 110 volts $86
Polish $41
Total $338
And I have not even got the pads for it yet! All of this for a car that is worth just less than $1000

Put $2000 worth of wheels & tires on it, 3 to 4 thousand for a killer sound system and you should be good to go.
Once knew a guy that threw a party the day his mods passed what he paid for his car new. Fun party, too.

Steve I hate to say but I expect duty to be even more than that.
I just bought some stuff that came to a total of around $190 and they charged me £46! Apparently they work it out by cost, so the more it costs the more duty you pay. Therefore you could be paying a lot more for duty :(
Damn this country :nono

Its no wonder we are called Treasure Island :(
But, if I can get rid of most of the swirls, it will be worth it.

I feel for ya,
Belgium has the same issues, that`s why I choose the Makita : it`s available anywhere , 220V allready , and 223Euro`s.
I ordered the Meguiars pads in Belgium : 2 x the kit with 2 polish pads and 1 finishing pad = 148Euro`s
Wich totals 223 (Makita) + 148 (Megiuars pads)+18 Euro (Makita polishing pad)+ 52Euro(Makita wool pad)= 441 Euro`s.
So, don`t feel bad , could be worse:D
If I should have bought a PC that total would have reached nearly 700 Euro`s:shocked

Ouch guys.... :(
Now I don`t feel so grumpy about the supply situation here in Canada. Each one of you could be the only ones for many leagues around with this kind of equipment though - that`s special! :xyxthumbs

cvc - where is the makita available?
Perhaps the meguairs orbital is a good bet, seeing as we can get the US line here without paying extra :)
