View Full Version : My wet sanding woes (about 50k)

Sorry for the poor quality photos, the place I took to have them developed and put on CD normally do a fantastic job but this time round they have made them very overexposed :(



Still, it gives you an idea of the process I went through to remove some paint touch-up blobs :)



Heres the before pic:

And a picture of the 3M 9 micron wet sanding pad (you can just make out the small `smiley face` config of the blobs):

This is how they looked after 40 minutes sanding:

Not all that clear but this is the finished result after the scratching/dullness was buffed out with Autoglym paint renovator:

Thanks for the post. Somewhat hard to evaluate the results.



Does the wet sanding pad differ from using the fine wet sanding sheets?

Yes so sorry about that, but it gives you the gneral idea anyway - in that it works!



I dont think the sanding pad is any different to normal wet sanding paper. Its just sized and shaped to work with small areas well :xyxthumbs
