Just need a few opinions on my planned process that will be done after I have sobered up :D :

This will be done on a darkish deep red Honda.

Has quite a few light swirls and some scratches.

The car has a lot of touch-ups (especially on the hood) which need sanding out (unigrit 1200?) pre-detail. I have used 3M wet sanding in the past and it has taken a long time because when I applied the paint touch ups (hadnt discovered this board!) I used the included brush and the touch ups were thick and large :(

GC wash

Pinnacle Polyclay and lube

Medallion premium paint cleaner

#9

Autoglym SR polish

Autoglym EG (5 coats?)

Blitz wax

FI

Thanks.

Nick after using medallin to strip wax of my door to deal with a light scrtach yesterday skip the dish wash. No need, Have you considered megs No 9, Autoglym super resin and a few layers of Extra gloss, then topped with wax?? I no 9 my door a just supper resined it it looked as good as the door next to it which was was polished with megs hand polish and no 7 show car glaze. I cant wait to see the car no 9, resin polished, extra gloss layered ontop and then blitz / p21s!

Rich,

Cheers mate :xyxthumbs

Will prob give the super resin a go as I have a 1 litre bottle still left

Was considering the extra gloss. Kind of torn between that and #20 :nixweiss I take it they are both long lasting polymers? Hmmmm which to choose... :nixweiss

I was considering 20, have been reading threads on it, but all Autoglym is so close to Klasse, cant be bad!

Hmmmm about £9 for 325ml...

How easy to work with is the EG?

Wipes on like water buffs of as easily as pie, as long as you let it dry 1 -3 hours

And you can layer it as well :)

Sounds very similar to that Turtle Wax Gloss Guard I have. Only this stuff is completely the opposite - apply post wax as opposed to pre-wax... :nixweiss

Just get one of the 10 pound bottles of EG, that will be more than enough to see you through to next year. What stuff are you getting from autodetail.com ?

Re autodetail - funds permitting, I want some 303 protectant, EO scratch remover, tire cleaner, the Pinnacle Polyclay kit, and maybe some P21S GEPC.

Plus I can get a discount :bow
