Hello All,

Which of the two is more aggressive. 3M PI-III Machine Glaze or Meguiars #9 SMR? I know the 3M PI-III Machine Glaze does not have fillers while the Meguiars #9 SMR has.

With Aloha,

Ranney,

I have read prior posts on PI-III Machine Glaze.

This is worse than Meguiar`s product descriptions. A product called a glaze that has abrasiveness but no fillers??

I too would like to know which is more abrasive.

What about abrasiveness of this product versus 3M`s SMR or FI-II Machine Polish?

Regards, Eric

Yeah, 3M sort of lives in its own little world. They define or use the term glaze as any polish (abrasive or non-abrasive) that is body-shop safe. Although FI-II is body-shop safe, I`m guessing they don`t call it a glaze because it`s closer in abrasiveness to a cleaner or their family of compounding products. Even though 3M claims FI-II is a good finishing product, their `glaze` products are more ideal to use for final finishing.

The SMR`s are less abrasive than PI-III MG.
