A week or so ago, I posted a question on how to get rid of scratches on the woodgrain of a used 740il BMW I just bought. No one seemed to have the answer (although other folks posted they had the same problem).

Well I tried some plastic scratch removers, which didn`t work at all, along with a few other things. Then I figured - what the heck- and I broke out the 3M SMR and tried it on a small area. It worked! I then did the the rest of the problem areas and followed it up with some Pledge, and it looks 95% better! I figure I can get to 99% with some more work. Just thought I`d let everyone else know...

Great News! When I purchased my 740iL Certified Pre-Owned, it had some scratches on the wood work around the shifter. I will give the 3M SMR a try. :up
