Can someone tell me what the 2 bucket wash method is to wash your car?

I`ve always used one bucket full of soap and water,

and a hose to wash it off.

Where does the 2nd bucket come into play ?

search "bucket wash"

1. wash

2. rinse

I personally throw in a dedicated 3rd bucket just for wheels and such. Not sure if that`s going to be helpful or not though. But since I got whole bunch of buckets in the storage so I thought I might as well put them into some uses.

Personally, I use one bucket for washing the wheels and wheel area, and the other for washing the car itself. I rinse off my sheepskin mitt with the hose. I do have an extra bucket though, so what the heck I might fill one with clean water, "just for dipping"! ;)

washed today with the "2 bucket" routine. Used a small MF towel as a wash `Mitt`.

Cold out there!

I was amazed at how dirty the 2nd/rinse bucket became. At the end, when dumping, it was clear why this is a good procedure... there was a disgusting amount of solids in the bottom of the pail.

Keep looking at your MF towel, it shows clearly where the dirtiest parts of the car are. A couple good rinses and squeezes - these towels are great!
