Found a review of Turtle Waxes scratch & swirl remover liquid polish in autoexpress magazine. See results below. Very positive.

I wonder does it actually remove swirls or hide them, and would it be better then 3M SMR, which I find very hard to get results with by hand. Or would 3M IHG be the safer option.

What you think ?

Test conditions

"Paint on the bonnet had a white coat of oxidation. We masked off the metal in sections then marked it with wire wool and a plastic ice scraper to simulate the damage caused by branches and grit. We used a knife to scratch through to the white primer on the colour polish sections. The test was easier than our last one (Issue 576, November 1999) as the bonnet was not deeply scratched or chipped. Only 2.5ml of cleaner was used and each section of metal was tackled twice, with the same amount of wiping for all products."

Results : 4/5 stars

"lives up to its name and made easy work of dealing with our test scratch and the faded paintwork, even at the first attempt. After two goes it had re-moved the plastic scratch and reduced the wire wool marks. Great stuff and safe on clear finishes."
