Well I finally had time and the weather cooperated with me to Zaino yesterday. Here is what I did. No pics yet because I took the day off today to put a few (2-3) more layers on today.

1 Rinsed car down with nozzel on hose

2 Rinsed car without nozzel

3 Dawn wahsed and dried with absorber and CWB

4 Got out the leaf blower and blew out all the cracks and stuff

5 Clayed using the Zaino clay and Meguires QD and several PakShak MF`s (Love the smell of that stuff)

Note on claying -- My car is only 3months old I could not believe what the clay bar pulled off ugh it hurts thinking about it.

6 Washed with Zaino wash and dried again with Absorber and CWB

7 Mixed up almost two oz of Z-2 with 9-10 drops ZFX

8 Put mist of water and Z-QD on applicator and applied polish thinly

9 Let sit for about 45 mins until I could run a finger off of it and it was clear.

10 Removed with big ole white Feildcrest towel (was too big goign to cut in half for todays removal)

11 Used on rims let sit for about 30 mins removed with different towel

12 Lightly misted car with Z-QD and watched her shine!

Only had time for one coat yeasterday and I am impressed. It is as if the car is wraped in plastic. Going to put more on today as stated above will take pics and post by Sunday.:up

Sounds great!!!:bounce

I just see one problem. Obviously you had some Z2 plus ZFX left over. Most people get 3-5 coats / oz. :nixweiss When you plan to do just one coat you can mix a lesser amount in direct proportion to the 2 oz recipe ( i.e. 1oz 4-5 drops, 1/2 oz 2-3 drops, etc.).

Enjoy the Zaino experience.:xyxthumbs :wavey

I hoped you used all your Z2/ZFX mixture, from what I read you must use it all whitin 6 hours of mixing.

Can`t wait to see the pics. :UP

How to resize is going to depend on your imaging software. What do you use? I use IrfanView and I go to image|resize. then I make sure that "preserve aspect ratio" is checked. Then I type in a smaller number for horizontal or vertical. Voila, one smaller pic. I then save it with the same name with "sm" appended to it. E.g. Volvo.jpg and Volvosm.jpg.

BTW, nice shine.

You have to be one of the nicest people I have run into on this forum. I do not believe I have ever heard a smar arse remark or a bad thing from you. And almost every post I have had a question with you have responded. Thank you who ever you are! I wish the world had more people like you. Off to dinner with the GF!:D

Hehehehe. Well I guess I did it right. Now how many coats should I stop at. I really did not notice a difference between coats 2 and 3.
