View Full Version : Problems with glass and paint! (many large pics)

My car (2002 WRX Wagon) is about a month old.
I`ve noticed that the water spots on the glass do not go away with washing, Stoner`s, or claying.
Also, I just FCRC`d my hood (factory installed swirls) and now I can see this odd surface shape... like a million tiny pits.

Ummmm....those first two pics look like a GTI....not a WRX...

Well, not too many WRX pics and several blurry ones that didn`t show much......
But I`m betting your problem is acid rain etching. That`s prolly what you see on the hood and glass.
Ya might want to do a board search on acid rain to see what others have said & done.
Don`t feel bad; my car`s got the same problem.

Yeah, sorry about the GTI, bro`s car... the pics were for photoshopping some LB`s on it.

The one thread I found on acid rain didn`t allow any more posts.
What I think I have here is etched glass rain spots from the dealer.
