Fantastic job there theveed!
Just out of curiousity, how often does your car need to be hit with the rotary?

Thanks...
I only did it twice... once the major defects are gone, my orbital does the rest for maintenance (light polishing and waxing or cleaner)...
I never used a compound on the car.
Once in a while, I use my W9000 Finishing Pad when I use a light polish.

I`m stunned that 9 year old paint (on a Corolla!) can look so good. :bow

Thanks guys...
The hood had to be wetsanded coz last year, it was splattered by cement specs, paint and metal primer and other stuff that clay couldn`t touch... Our office parking was beside 3 condo contruction sites and it rained for like 3 weeks straight, so I didn`t notice how bad the stuff was on the paint.
I wetsanded the hood with 2500 grit wet/dry sandpaper... followed up with DACP.
DACP was used with a W7000 red cutting pad running at speed 1.5 (on the Makita) for the roof, trunk and hood. The sides were hit with DACP + 3M Waffle polishing pad at 1.8 to 2 setting.
It was waaay easier than using an orbital...
I had great results using 3M Show Car wax (paste) and Eagle One WET wax before... the depth seems to be a lot clearer with the 3M wax than #26... Though #26 lasts about 2-3x longer...

I like this pic (taken from my office window up 26 floors high)... I like how the gloss and depth compares to the other cars, especially with the maroon civic behind me (that`s at least 4 years newer than mine), and the Sentra in front of me (about the same age)
