I see the acronyms page is down, so I will give you the short answer here:

S100 = marketed for motorcycles P21S - a pure carnauba wax.

AIO = Klasse All in One - a polymer sealant

If your paint is in good condition, try the P21S/S100 Paintwork Cleansing Lotion followed up with P21S/S100 Wax.

After the wax, try using a quick detailer, like Eiman Fabrik Clear Pearl or Meguires Final Inspection, for example, to keep up the just detailed look.

Good luck and do some research on the above and any other questions you may have.

Cheers,

What AMP99 said. In addition, use a swirl remover every 3rd time you wax. It will help remove any spider webbing, surface marring, light scratches, etc you will unfortunately pick up along the way.

Use microfiber towels exclusively on your paint and never set anything on your trunk lid, hood or top of the car. I am amazed after I detail someone`s car that they will place their check book on top of their car (or even worse, mine  ) and write me my check. It will scratch your paint.

Considering you are in the Bay Area, I would do a search on our member "carguy." He owns an Anthracite M5 and a black Porsche 966 Turbo as well. You`ll find threads by him about removing swirl marks on a 360 Modena and other Autopians` cars; excellent tests on Klasse, Zaino, and the California Car Duster; and also about The Perfect Drying Technique. His site has some of this info along with pictures and driving videos... www.heumann.com

Also do a search on "Volvo4Me." She recently detailed both an Imola Blue and Jet Black M5...

Good luck searching!

Also, rumor has it that the $14.95 S100 product is about to be reformulated or done away with, Leaving only P21S at 25 bucks.

I invested in 3 jars of S100 just to be safe.

Good Luck

I know this was talked about before, but.....

Is it true that S100 and P21S is the same product?

Just making sure.....

Yes they are the same product. I got mine at my local Harley shop and I`ve had nothing but good results with it. I would get the paint cleaner too, it definetly improved the look of my paint.

Well, if they reformulate S100, it will only be to justify a higher price...and I am sure whatever they do will improve it.

Even at $25 it is a bargin. I am just about done with my first jar and it was enough to wax about 40 vehicles, including 2 Suburbans, 2 Excursions, 4 mid-sized SUVs and several S-class Mercedes and 7 series BMWs.

I`ve got 2 full jars on hand right now and probably enough in the other jar to wax 2-3 more cars. My local Harley dealer had 7 jars left. I may pick up a couple more before the end of the month.

I spoke with CMA technical support and they said that they just received their final shipment of the old S100. They start making the new formula this month. So I would say grab the old stock while you can.

Is three a magic number? I just picked up three jars this evening.

The future version may be good, but it won`t be the same as P21S.

I have 1 and 9/10 jars of S100 now. Since my personal car is all I`ll be using it on, I can`t justify buying more at the current rate of consumption, even though I`ve been waxing like a maniac with it. :D

I`m sad to see Canada`s only "locally available premium wax" go.... :(

How good do you think the new S100 Wax can get?

If they improve it, I will be impressed!
