Two weeks ago, one of my cars had several dozen paint chips repaired by a company called ChipsAway. They did a pretty good job, but now it is time for my guy do do a full blown, complete detail.

My guy wants to clay, but I`m concerned about the repaired paint chips. (Did a search on this, but nothing found.)

A. Will claying hurt the filled-in paint chips?

B. Any do`s or dont`s that he should be aware of when trying to clay a car with repaired paint chips? :nono

Thanks in advance...

The first thing I did was ask the guy who did the chip repair. he said, "Uhhh...you should be OK..." (His boss said the same) Not exactly a confidence-inspiring response!:(

That`s why I figured I would then do a search and, after that, ask the experts! :) Anyone???

Per "Guess my name" - I posted this on the wrong category. Newbie - Sorry for not following protocol! I`ll know better next time!

Thanks for moving it to the right forum - Anyone else have any experience with claying over repaired paint chips?

Oh, one more thing - if it matters - the car is black...
