I had a customer this weekend. A 1999 Dodge Dakota extended cab p/u. 72,000 miles. Brief history on the truck (You guys will get a good laugh out of this).

1) Hasn`t been washed since December of 1998. (Forget wax)

2) Cleaned rims with 409 and paper towels

3) Cleaned bird poop off hood with 409 and paper towels

4) Cleaned dashboard with wood lemon oil

5) Major accident- 9 grand worth of damage. Crap body work. I helped buff it so it would match better.

Here is the album: http://photos.yahoo.com/elantra00gls

Go to Dodge Dakota album. The pictures are not in order, so the B&A are all over. I have a description for each. Enjoy =)

Only after I picked the truck up I realized what I was dealing with. This was going to be a lot of work...

The process...

1) Powerwashed it at the local car wash and used their soap. Didn`t do anything. Didn`t even take the bird poop off the hood. After wasting quarters, I went home

2) Looking at the rocker panels, I realized I needed a good soap with a tar and bug remover. I found Armor All Heavy Duty Concentrate. That worked surprisngly well.

3) Mothers clay bar system (turned bar black when finished)

4) Polished w/ #9 and PC w/ wool pad

5) Waxed with #26 and foam pad

6) Sprayed #34 (Extra protection)

7) Back to black on all exterior trim

8) Black magic on tires

9) Eagle one rim cleaner on wheels and tire lettering

10) 303 Aerospace protectant on interior vinyl

11) Meguiars metal restorer on all chrome (Great stuff)

12) Turtle wax rug cleaner and resolve (Works well)

13) 5 hp shop vac

The results were excellent. I was happy, and so was the customer.
