I`ve tried everything from the synthetic sponges, which I`ve come to think scratch the paint, to the lambswool wash mitts.

What are some recommendations for optimal results?

The latest item I`ve tried is the Turtle Wax sponge with the terry cloth-string cover.....very nice, but I`m pulling strings out of the cracks and crevices after almost every wash.......not sure what else to try, and I don`t have the $70 to plop on a Griot`s Boars Hair brush.........

Be sure to take advantage of the search function, as you`ll find tons of info on this subject.

There is an active thread right now -- What Wash Mitt Do You Use? (http://autopia.ws/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14232) that you can check out for some ideas.

If you want to try a good, less expensive mitt, perhaps you should try a viking wash mitt. That`s all I use.
