I`m thinking of getting a new Tiburon and they supposedly have really thin paint. Is there anything I can do to strengthen and protect it?

Nothing you can do to strengthen the film build, protect it just like any other finish.

I`m not sure what a Tiburon is (can you get a tiburon turbo?), but I would think that you would protect thin paint the same way you would protect thick paint. Whatever you use is only going on the top, anyway.

For a new car, I`d suggest a polymer finish, such as Zaino, which bonds directly to the paint.

Go to www.zainobros.com if you need details, or see many other posts here regarding Zaino, other polymers, and even wax, if you chose to just wax.

Happy motoring.

How about putting on a clear bra, like Stonguard or Expel on the front of the car?

yeah, it looks like X-pel might be the way to go.
