I have a Ryobi Random Orbital from Home Depot.

I have use one terry cloth bonnet for applying wax.

Then I use one wool/wool synthetic bonnet to get rid of the wax.

After I`m done, I soak the terry cloth bonnet, try and get as much of the wax out then I let it dry.

I just leave the wool/syn bonnet dry by itself and I "beat" the wax out of it later.

My question is how many times should I use these bonnets until I get new ones?

When applying wax, should I wet the terry cloth bonnet first?

Thanks!

Hey Micheal,

I would suggest scrapping the wool bonnet and trying a microfiber bonnet for wax removal....I liked it better. I also use 2 bonnets on the machine for some extra cushioning.

Through out the removal process you can brush off wax residue with your hand and even turn the MF bonnet inside out.

Afterwards...I would soak both bonnets (application & removal bonnets) in laundry detergent for 2-3 hours and rinse thoroughly afterwards.

It wouldn`t hurt to throw them in the washing machine occasionally as well....remember never use fabric softener.
