Since I`m a souper jeanyus I made sure that I forgot my camera in my hotel in Toronto last weekend. That way I couldn`t take pictures of this stuff. CURSES!!!

Well, let me give you my initial impression of this stuff. First of all, I have to say that its the best smelling stuff when you are applying it. It seriously smells like a vanilla milkshake. It made me so hungry... mmmmmm

Application was a breeze. I would compare it to application of Blackfire or even Meguiars Gold Class Liquid. I applied it with a PC and found that it spread very easily. A little goes a long way with this stuff.

Buffing it off was really easy too. I would compare it to AIO when its good and dry. Really simple.

Initially I was blown away by the reflection. I had just had the overspray problem the weekend that I got the LS. I did an ABC wash and clayed the whole thing. I put a layer of AIO on just to make sure I got all the paint and then I put one layer of Platinum. Then on with the Liquid Soveran. It was hard to tell at first if the shine and apperance I was seeing was from the LS or from the Plat.

Of course, right as I pull the car out to go to work last Monday it started to rain. Crap! On Tuesday I washed it again because I really didn`t get a chance to see how well this stuff looked in the daylight. That was when the reflection first hit me. I know that this has something to do with the LS because I`ve washed my car before with Plat on it and I never got a reflection like that in direct sunlight. Check this out...

That is direct sunlight on a white car reflecting a hose on the driveway! I`ve never seen my car reflect like that in direct sunlight. Usually its just brighter than hell and you can`t bear to look at it. As usual, the real life image was even more impressive than the photo.

This week I`ve been sort of bummed out. LS is weird stuff. When I walk by my car in the afternoon and I can see the glare of the sun in the hood or something, it looks kinda fuzzy. Its not the clear and crisp shine that I`m used to. Its almost as if LS is amazing from a distance, but the closer you get, the fuzzier the image gets. I don`t know if that is just because its on white or if that is just the way it is. I`ll try it on my Accord so I can tell for sure.

Another thing that is missing is the slickness. I felt the car after the Plat went on and it was smooth as it had ever been. It had just been freshly clayed and Klassed so it couldn`t really get any smoother. I felt the car yesterday and it doesn`t feel as smooth. Instead of feeling smooth like a polished rock it felt smooth like a rubber hose. Very interesting. That part of it doesn`t really make me happy. I`m going to strip it off this weekend and start over again. I`m thinking of going back to Klasse for a few layers. Get 5 layers of Klasse on there and then put the Platinum and regular Souveran on top of it. Not having the crisp reflection that I`ve had ever since I became an Autopian sort of bummed me out and I need to do something drastic. Hopefully it isn`t a problem with my car or something. I`ll try it on a darker car to be sure.

For now my impression of LS is that it give an awesome look from a distance. When I look down on my car from my office window I can tell that it has a wet look and is very glossy. Up close I can still see the gloss but the images are a little blurry. It feels smooth but its less smooth than just a freshly clayed surface. Thumbs up on the view from afar but I`m not a fan of the feel. I`ll report more later when I`ve had more time to test. The test on my car is over though. I need my reflections back.

The lack of slickness so quickly is a little odd. The regular paste version of Souveran feels slick on my paint (and other customer`s paint) a month after waxing-not just waxed slick, but slick and smooth nonetheless.

Let us know how it works on your Accord.

I`m going to wash one of the fenders just with normal stuff before I strip it all off. Maybe the lack of smoothness is something besides the LS. I`ll was the fender and feel it again. Then when I ABC and clay I`ll feel it again to see what the difference is. I looked at it again today and was bummed at the fuzzy glare that I saw.

Good news. A little QD and I could feel the slickness again. Compared to normal Souveran I`d have to say that LS isn`t quite as slick. When I get my Klasse layers built back up I plan on doing half with paste Souveran and the other half with liquid Souveran. That will be the real test I think. :)

I`m not sure if maybe I put too much importance in the "slickness" thing but of all the products I have used to date(Souvernan, P21S,Blitz,meguiars #16,meguiars gold class, Zymol carbon, klasse aiox1 +klasse sgx1 and Zaino), I would have to say the Zaino is the slickest even after a couple of washes. Especially after using Zaino`s QD.

After I`m through waxing the car (with P21S or Souveran), I usually go over the finish with a spray of distilled water and a clean MF (or cotton) towel. I notice the reflection becomes much more clear. The idea is to do it before the wax cures. Must even out and smooth the wax layer, improving the optics. Seems to improve the slickness as well. The wax was probably cured when you washed it the next day. Forgive me if I`ve noted the obvious. Hope this helps.
