3m SMR finish

Hey, i just used 3m SMR (for dark cars)(on a black truck) with my pc, and in the garage it looked great. Then i moved the truck outside (natural lighting) and it looked like it had a haze in it. it was like the SMR took out the swirlls but made the paint very hazy with a million micro scracthes...IHG took care of this problem for the most part, but have any of you had this happen? I was thinking maybe i should try Meguires #9 SMR instead. any thoughts???

Do a search on this, there is an excellent post by carguy on how to exactly use the 3M SMR.



You have to work in the 3M SMR alot, until it breaks down into a polish, and buffs out the hazing.

Work the SMR longer. It is like dust when complete.

Work it in on 6 as it begins to breakdown and polish out bring the speed down to like 4, until it`s almost completely dried and buffed out.
