Ah, the Mazda Tribute, or the Tribble as the gang knows it. Damn those swirl marks! Oh well, that`s the trouble with tribbles. (Reread until you get the Star Trek joke).

Mother`s Clay, 3M FI2, Meg. #9 2.0, Applied via PC, Zymol Carbon, Mother`s QD. Two days of fun.

Fantastic job. Absolutely fantastic. Looks like as fun to detail as my wife`s Escape (Link (http://www.autopia.ws/hwy/len_a/detailed_the_escape.htm) ), which isn`t a surprise as they`re sister cars. Always like the Tribute better, as it looked a little dressier (at least until the 2003 Escapes come out).

And my wife & I love the Star Trek reference, seeing as we`re big Star Trek fans.

BTW, from the color, I`m guessing yours is a 2001? Did I guess right?

Yes, it is a 2001... oddly the colors changed drastically between 2001 and 2002. I don`t like the color; I just don`t know what I was thinking. By the way, the smears on the paint and glass were exess product that`s been removed by now.

I don`t like the color; I just don`t know what I was thinking. That`s a great color, nice contrast between the lower trim and the rest of the truck. What`s the inside look like?

I have yet to redetail the interior... when I do I`ll post more pics.

BTW, these are 1/4 the size of the original digital photographs taken by a Kodak DC3400. Good camera.

Terrific job. I`m impressed.

And I like the look of the Tribble better than the Escape (no offence to Len).

Nice job.:up :up

No offence taken. Like I said, I always thought the Tribute was a bit dressier looking.

This year, however, they had a model called the Escape XLT MidnightPicture Link Here (http://www.carseverything.com/content/image/10490/). For 2003 it becomes the Escape Limited, in five colors, plus more standard equipment. Plus the regular Escape XLT gets an exterior package similar to Frederf`s Tribble: Glossy contating color body cladding and bumpers, plus fancier wheels. I have the info on both, so anyone who`s interested, let me know and I`ll post a link to it.

Hey Frederf!! We got the same digital camera dude!!

If one wants to see some cool things, look at tribute.mazda.co.jp and find pictures of the options they get.
