Overall, the paint`s in good shape, however, a few spots could use some smoothing out. It`s never been clayed prior to this, that I know of - should I just clay the whole thing?

This will be prior to AIO, SG, and Pinnacle S (paste.)

That`s whole idea of claying. You`re supposed to test with a cellphane type glove (it comes with the Clay Magic kit) and feel for contaminant. No harm in claying clean areas, but why waste your time and risk dropping the clay?

I agree and think that claying is not a "new car vs driven car" issue, it`s just if it needs it or not. If you find you`re feeling rough grit only here and there, then clay these areas. If you feel some of it everywhere, then you might as well do the whole car before doing Klasse. Even new cars off the train can have lots of contamination.

Do the test or if in doubt, clay anyway.

I clayed my entire car just for some peace of mind. Really, only areas of the roof and hood needed it for sure. However, claying a new vehicle should go extremely fast. If there is nothing much on some of the panels, you will not have to knead the clay as much. Your cost is just a little time and the extra QD to do the entire car.

you can clat all you want unless the bar has grit in it.

Thanks. I`ll have to test it whan I get the kit, it may be worse than I think, but I doubt it.

So - wash, clay, AIO, SG, Souveran - right?

It`s had nothing but carnuba on it.

I would give it a quick wash after claying, but sounds good!
