Is it best to wash them in hot or cold. Does it matter what kind of detergent?

Please try a search, there have been plenty of threads concerning care of Microfiber towels.

Hi jw,

I would recommend you first wash your new micro fiber towels to remove any loose microfilaments that may be on the cloth as a result from the manufacturing process. Machine wash or hand wash separately from other fabrics in warm water (=<90 degrees) with any mild laundry detergent. Such as Tide. Machine dry separately at low temperature or line dry them. I find taking them out of the dry before they are completely dry works the best. I just leave them outside and they dry fairly quickly. Also, do not use fabric softener or bleach and do not try to iron them. It will melt the fabric because most common micro fiber towels that are sold in the marketplace are either 70/30 or 80/20. The first part of it comprises of the Polyester content and the second part is the Polyamide content.

I hope this helps you.
