I have a shop vac that I can suck water up with but I do not have an extractor at this time (money issue, I`m 17). I was wondering if there is an attachment I could buy that would be smaller and able to suck up water better than the standard attachments that come with the machine?

I think you can try the car nozzle, about 2 inches wide and really sucks most of the water/liquid out from the carpeting, not 100%, more around 65-75%.

I use mine to extract water all the time. Mine came with a "wet" nozzle that I use, it looks like the regular vac nozzle expect it does not have any brushes in it.
