Read the forum for 3 hours tonite and just registered.

Real quick, here`s what I`ve been using...

3M SMR

3M IHG

3M Show-Car Wax

Mother`s Clay

Meguiars QD/Final Inspection

Meguiars Gold Class Soap

Vinylex

Carbona

Stoner`s Invisible Glass

MSLT

Ardex Details

Meguiars Endurance or Vinylex on Tires

I have had glass spots on the car since I got it 2 years ago. Tried Rain-X glass polish and it did NOTHING. The spots have diminished over the 2 years, but still visible.

I just read about clay bar-ing the glass. What other things can I try?

Thanks.

And here is a pic of my work...

Nice car! I like the wheels and clear lenses. What year is that?

I dont know if the distilled white vinegar and water (2 parts vinegar:1 part water) on glass will work. Let us know what you find out.

Here is DavidB`s post on cleaning glass. Very Informative.

Thanks guys for the welcome.

Its a 1990 525i. The rims are Mille Miglia MM11s. I`ll give vinegar a try as well today.

OK, tried clay and vinegar, no success. Any other tips you guys might have?

Oh, BTW, the clay made the windows very clean and shiny, except for the spots which while not that visible, are still there and bug me. No one else sees them but me though...

Maybe it`s time for something like Autoglym Glass Polish? That`s supposed to be good stuff. I know I bought that to remove water spots from my friend`s Civic but haven`t gotten around to that yet...
