I just got my PC and my hood is looking pretty rough from not rubbing the 3M SMR enough into the paint. I also have 3M rubbing compound. I plan on doing the 3-step system later this week. My hood has some nasty swirls with a lot of haze as well, will the rubbing compound be safe to use or too aggressive with the PC? Thanks

Which rubbing compound is it? Fine, medium, heavy? I`d say try it and find out. I`ve had my PC for about five months now and it seems to me you`d have to really work at messing up your paint with it in order for that to happen. Get the CMA pad kit or the Meguiars pads and search around for threads on it. 3M products, (at this level) are pretty safe and easy to work with. But, if you really want to just bust loose and see what the PC will do with your products, go to a salvage yard and practice on a dead beater if you can.
